Privacy Policy

Techvidah ("we", "us", "our") operates an online test series and learning management platform accessible at techvidah.com and associated subdomains. Our registered contact email is hello@techvidah.com.

Account data: Name, phone number, email address, password (stored as a hashed value), batch, standard and any optional fields you provide (Aadhaar number, address, roll number, father's name).

Usage data: Test attempts, answers submitted, time spent per question, scores, rank history and study plan interactions.

Device data: For the Android app — device push notification token (FCM token), device OS version, and app version. We do not collect precise location, contacts or call logs.

Payment data: Payment amount, date and reference number. Full card/UPI details are processed directly by Razorpay and are never stored on our servers.

Log data: IP address, browser type, and page visit timestamps for security and debugging.

• Provide and operate the platform (test-taking, results, analytics).
• Send push notifications, test reminders and result alerts (you can disable notifications in the app).
• Generate AI-powered study plans and doubt-solving responses personalised to your performance.
• Process payments and issue receipts.
• Improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised usage statistics.
• Communicate important account or platform changes.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Your institution: If you access the platform through a coaching centre or institution, your results and performance data are visible to that institution's admin/teacher accounts.
• AI providers: When you use AI features (doubt solver, study plan), your query and relevant performance context is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI/Anthropic) to generate a response. These providers are contractually bound not to train their models on your data.
• Push notification service: Device tokens and message payload are sent to Google Firebase (FCM) for delivery.
• Payment processor: Razorpay processes payments; they receive your name, email and phone as required by RBI guidelines.
• Legal obligations: We may disclose data if required by Indian law or a valid court order.

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, personal identifiers are removed within 30 days; aggregated anonymised test data may be retained for platform analytics.

Inactive free accounts (no login for 2 years) may be automatically deleted after 30 days' notice to your registered email.

Passwords are stored as hashed values. Database connections use TLS. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised team members. We conduct regular security reviews.

No system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to security@techvidah.com.

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Portability: Request your test history in CSV format.
• Opt-out of notifications: Disable push notifications in the Android app settings at any time.

The platform is used by students preparing for competitive exams, including those under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent. If a minor uses the platform through an institution, the institution is responsible for obtaining appropriate consents.

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is required under our current cookie usage.

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
